NJ AllStars are ready for the Beijing Cup 2014!

The NJ AllStars had their final practice last night at The Delbarton School, led by Coach Donovan. It was a great final preparation for the team focusing on team warm up routine, some functional positional play and set pieces. For those of you that were in attendance I am sure you will agree that their seems to be a natural chemistry between the boys both on and off the field, which is fantastic to see for a group of players that have only played and practiced together a handful of times. They move the ball well and attack with pace and purpose.

Myself, Dave, Liam and of course Ryan are extremely happy with the way the team have come together and although the level of our opponents is a mystery, we have a great group of young athletes that will work as hard for each other as they do themselves and represent the US on this international stage.

We also held a small Q&A session with players and parents prior to practice in order to answer any last minute questions and with the emergence of our competition schedule this week talk briefly about our opponents.

NJ ALLSTARS will be exchanging one of theses plaques with each opponent before the game as a memento of the occasion, much the same as teams in the World Cup.
